Ashanti Regional Minister Inspects Ongoing USTED Convention Centre Project

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, has inspected the ongoing construction of a Convention Centre at the University of Science, Technology and Entrepreneurship Development (USTED) on Wednesday.
He was accompanied by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Kwadaso, Mr Eric Asibey, and other officials.
During the inspection, Dr Amoakohene said the purpose of his visit was to acquaint himself with the progress of work on the project and assess the level of development.
He assured the university and stakeholders that he would work closely with the relevant authorities to ensure the Convention Centre is completed within the shortest possible time.
The Regional Minister also pledged to facilitate the construction of the deplorable road linking the university to improve accessibility for students, staff and members of the surrounding community.
Dr Amoakohene further disclosed that streetlights at the Sofoline Interchange are being converted to solar-powered lighting systems and assured that the lights would become operational soon.
He commended the Vice-Chancellor of USTED, Prof. Frederick K. Sarfo, and the Kwadaso MCE, Eric Asibey, for their hard work and consistent efforts in following up on development projects to ensure their successful completion.
Present at the inspection were the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Director, Mr Michael Owusu Amoako, Esq.; members of the Regional Security Council; the Kwadaso Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr Francis Adu-Boateng; lecturers, officials of the Kwadaso Municipal Assembly and other staff of the university.
