Asante Akim South MCE Supports BECE Graduates with Educational Materials

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Asante Akim South Municipal Assembly, Mrs Maame Sarfoah Appiah, has donated educational materials to students who recently completed the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) to support their transition to Senior High School (SHS).

The initiative is aimed at easing the financial burden on parents and guardians while providing the beneficiaries with essential materials to begin their SHS education.

Speaking at the presentation, Mrs Appiah said the gesture formed part of the Assembly’s efforts to promote education and support the development of young people in the municipality.

She encouraged the students to take their education seriously, focus on their studies and make good use of the opportunity to pursue their academic aspirations.

The MCE also urged them to demonstrate discipline, respect their teachers and make responsible choices as they entered a new phase of their academic journey.

She expressed hope that the support would motivate the beneficiaries to remain committed to their education and serve as a stepping stone towards achieving their future goals.

The beneficiaries and their parents expressed appreciation to the Municipal Assembly for the gesture, describing the support as timely assistance that would help reduce some of the financial costs associated with preparing for SHS.
