Ghana Air Force Strengthens Defence Cooperation with German Armed Forces

The Ghana Air Force has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening international military partnerships following a courtesy visit by a delegation from the German Armed Forces to the Air Force Headquarters (AFHQ) aimed at enhancing defence cooperation and personnel development.

Welcoming the delegation on behalf of the Ghana Air Force, the Acting Chief of the Air Staff, Air Commodore Nana Adu-Gyamfi, expressed appreciation for the continued partnership between Ghana and Germany.

He described the visit as a significant step towards strengthening bilateral defence relations and fostering greater collaboration in areas of mutual interest.

Air Commodore Adu-Gyamfi further underscored the importance of sustained engagement and identified several opportunities for future cooperation aimed at enhancing interoperability, operational readiness and capacity building within the Ghana Air Force.

The Chief, National Risk and Crisis Management of the Bundeswehr Joint Force Command, Colonel Walter, explained that the visit formed part of ongoing efforts to deepen collaboration between the Ghana Air Force and the German Armed Forces, with a particular focus on the training and professional development of personnel.

He noted that the proposed training activities are intended to improve personnel effectiveness and operational efficiency, thereby contributing to stronger military capabilities.
