ORC Issues Final Reminder Ahead of June 30 Deadline for Annual Returns

The Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC) has issued a final reminder to defaulting companies and businesses across Ghana, declaring that there will be no extension beyond the June 30, 2026 deadline for the filing of Annual Returns and the renewal of Business Names.

A release issued by the ORC on Tuesday said, the final reminder follows an earlier press release issued on 28th April 2026, which announced the said deadline and urged all defaulting Companies and Businesses to comply.

It stated that Companies who fail to file Annual Returns with financial statement shall be deemed non-compliant and would be liable to pay a penalty of Two Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHc 2,000) for companies that have defaulted for five (5) years or more and OneThousand Ghana Cedis Only (GHc 1,000) for companies that have defaulted between one (1) and four (4) years in addition to filing fees.

The ORC therefore urged all companies and business owners to comply with these statutory obligations within the specified time frame to ensure continuity and avoid the risk of being delisted from the official Register.

“For further inquiries or clarification, please contact the office on 0308249841 or WhatsApp/Telegram 059-952-5774 or follow us on social media @ORC GHANA”, it added.
