President Mahama set for two-day Resetting Ghana tour of Volta Region

President John Dramani Mahama is set to embark on a two-day Resetting Ghana tour of the Volta Region on Thursday and Friday during which he will inspect ongoing government projects and engage with residents across the region.

The tour will begin on Thursday with a sod-cutting ceremony for a 24-hour economy market at Juapong. He will then inspect a new 1,500-capacity multipurpose assembly hall at the Peki College of Education.

President Mahama will also inspect ongoing road projects, including the Asikuma to Anyirawase Road and the UHAS by-pass and Anyirawase to Ho Road. He will proceed to the University of Health and Allied Sciences’ Sokode Campus to inspect a multi-purpose laboratory project.

The President will end the first day of the tour with a Free Primary Health Care programme durbar at the Ho Municipal Hospital.

On Friday, President Mahama will begin with an inspection of the state of the Ho Sports Stadium, before holding a Resetting Ghana citizens’ engagement with residents at the Ho Technical University.

He will inaugurate the Akatsi North District Police Headquarters at Ave Dakpa, and conclude the tour with an inspection of the Ho to Denu Road.
