NADMO Director General swears in Five-Member Audit Committee

The Director General of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Major Dr. Joseph Bikanyi Kuyon (Rtd), has inaugurated a five-member Audit Committee, urging them to play a critical role in enhancing oversight, strengthening internal controls, and promoting financial discipline within the organisation.
Speaking at the ceremony on Monday in Accra, Major Dr. Kuyon thanked the committee members for accepting the responsibility and reaffirmed management’s commitment to providing the necessary support for them to effectively carry out their duties.
He highlighted the importance of their work in upholding accountability and ensuring sound financial management across NADMO.
Chairperson of the committee, Ms. Elikplim Kartey, expressed appreciation to NADMO for the confidence reposed in the members, adding that the committee’s core mandate is to assist management in meeting Public Financial Management (PFM) requirements, rather than targeting or witch-hunting individuals.
She underscored the committee’s commitment to collaboration, transparency, and adherence to regulatory standards.
