ORC To Build Risk Smart Culture Among Staff

2 MIN READ

The Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC) is set to strengthen risk management practices among its staff as part of efforts to build a stronger risk smart organisation.

A statement issued by the ORC on Wednesday in Accra said the initiative will form part of the ORC Risk Awareness Week 2026, scheduled for September 22 to 25, 2026, under the theme, “Building a Risk Smart ORC: Strengthening Resilience, Accountability and Service Excellence.”

The programme is expected to deepen staff understanding of organisational risks and promote better preparedness and response to potential challenges.

The ORC said risk is part of every organisation’s journey, but the difference is in how institutions identify, prepare for and respond to such risks.

The awareness week will provide an opportunity for staff to focus on risk management as part of their daily responsibilities and contribute to building a more resilient organisation.

The initiative also seeks to strengthen accountability and service excellence within the ORC, while encouraging staff to adopt practices that support effective organisational operations.

The Office said the programme formed part of its efforts to build a stronger risk culture across the organisation and improve its capacity to manage risks that could affect its operations and service delivery.
