Volta Regional Minister Calls for Public Support as Flood Relief Reaches 12 Affected Districts

The Volta Regional Minister, James Gunu, has appealed to corporate organisations, faith-based groups, non-governmental organisations, and individuals to support flood victims across the Volta Region as the government begins distributing relief items to affected communities.
The appeal came during the official handover of emergency relief supplies from the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) to Municipal and District Assemblies in the 12 flood-affected Districts at the Volta Regional Coordinating Council in Ho.
Receiving the items from the Volta Regional Director of NADMO, Mr Pascal Agbagba, the Minister said that while the government’s intervention demonstrates its commitment to supporting affected families, additional assistance from the public and private sectors is needed to help victims rebuild their lives after the devastating floods.
Mr Gunu assured residents that the relief items would be distributed promptly, transparently, and fairly to ensure all affected households benefit from the intervention and praised NADMO for its swift response in mobilising support for flood-hit communities.
The Volta Regional Coordinating Council said it would continue to coordinate relief efforts with government agencies and development partners to ensure assistance reaches every affected community.
