A delegation from the Akyem Kotoku State, led by the King, His Gracious Majesty Oseadeeyo Dr. Frimpong Manso IV, has paid a courtesy call to the Minister of Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, to discuss security matters and opportunities for collaboration to enhance safety and security within the traditional area.
During the meeting on Tuesday in Accra, the King praised the Minister for his leadership and foresight in advancing Ghana’s security sector, describing his efforts as commendable.
His Gracious Majesty Oseadeeyo Dr. Frimpong Manso IV reaffirmed the Akyem Kotoku State’s readiness to support and work closely with the Ministry of the Interior and the security services.
He emphasized that the traditional authorities remain committed to working hand in hand with the government to address security needs of the area through the provision of land and support for security-related projects.
Mr. Muntaka expressed gratitude to the chiefs for their support and commitment to the development of their State. He commended them for their foresight in prioritising security and assured them of the Ministry’s readiness to partner with traditional authorities to improve security delivery.
The Minister reiterated the Government’s commitment to retooling the security services and assured the delegation of the Ministry’s continued collaboration in addressing security needs of the Akyem Kotoku State.
