The Director-General of the Cyber Security Authority (CSA), Dr Divine Selase Agbeti, has called for stronger collaboration and responsible communication in joint efforts to combat cybercrime.

He made the call during a courtesy visit by the Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the U.S. Embassy in Ghana, Mr Rolf Olson.

Dr Agbeti reiterated President John Dramani Mahama’s commitment to the fight against cybercrime and his determination to ensure that Ghana does not become a haven for cybercrime activities.

The meeting also indicated opportunities to strengthen collaboration in cybercrime investigations, information sharing and the prosecution of cybercrime-related offences.

Mr Olson expressed appreciation for the continued partnership between Ghana and the United States in law enforcement and reaffirmed his government’s commitment to bilateral cooperation in combating cybercrime.

He also noted the importance of mutual respect, accurate public communication and effective coordination in sustaining existing cybersecurity partnerships.
