Ghana to Host First-Ever Ghana-Korea Drone Expo
Ghana is set to host the first-ever Ghana-Korea Drone Expo and Ghana Transport & Logistics Fair in December 2026 following discussions between the Ministry of Transport and a delegation from A-Tech Group Korea.
The delegation, led by its Chief Executive Officer, Cheolsoo Lee, paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Transport, Joseph Bukari Nikpe, to discuss preparations and areas of collaboration for the event.
During the meeting, the Minister welcomed the initiative and underscored the importance of broad stakeholder engagement to ensure the success of the expo and fair.
He noted that the December timeline would create an opportunity to involve other key institutions, including the Ministries of Interior, Defence and Health, as well as the National Security Secretariat, in the planning process.
According to him, the engagement would ensure that institutions with interests in drone technology are adequately informed and actively involved in planning the event.
The collaboration is also expected to bring other stakeholders on board to explore the potential of drone technology across various sectors, promote knowledge sharing and strengthen Ghana-Korea cooperation in transport technology and innovation.
