Gov’t extends condolences to Royal Family, people of Dagbon over passing of Yaa Naa Abukari Mahama II

Government has extended condolences to the Royal Family, the people of Dagbon, and the entire nation, following the passing of His Majesty Yaa Naa Abukari Mahama II.
The condolence message was contained in a statement signed by the Spokesperson Minister of state in charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu on Monday.
The statement described the late Yaa Naa as a distinguished traditional ruler whose reign brought healing, reconciliation and lasting peace to Dagbon following years of conflict.
His unwavering commitment to unity, stability and the welfare of his people, according to the statement created an enabling environment for development, and strengthened the enduring partnership between the traditional authorities and Government in advancing progress across Dagbon and Ghana.
Government paid tribute to the life and legacy of Yaa Naa Abukari Mahama II, honouring what it described as his invaluable service to the nation.
“May his wisdom, leadership, and dedication to peace continue to inspire future generations,” the statement said.
