1 MIN READ

The National Communication Authority has announced that three applicants have qualified for the next stage of the Request for Application for spectrum licences in the 700 MHz, 2.3 GHz and 3 GHz bands.

In a press statement issued on Wednesday, the assessment comprised the Eligibility Review and Technical Qualification Assessment under Envelope A (Technical and Qualification Submission).

According to Section 3.3.2(4) of the Request for Applications, the qualified applicants include; Scancom Plc (MTN Ghana), Ghana Telecommunications Company Limited (Telecel Ghana), Goal Telecommunications Ltd.

Infrava Ltd did not qualify for the next stage of spectrum licence. The latest decision brings the qualification phase of the NCA’s Request for Applications for the spectrum licences to an end.

It noted that all applicants have been duly informed of the Authority’s determination in respect of their applications, with reasons provided where applicable.

“Only these Applicants will proceed to Stage 3 of the selection process. Accordingly, the Envelope B submitted by the Non-Qualified Applicants will not be opened,” the statement read.

The NCA added that the qualified applicants will be notified separately of the date, time and venue for the opening and ranking of their Best Price Offers.
