The Ghana Air Force Aviation College (GHAFAC), in collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Ghana, has held a professional membership engagement seminar aimed at helping personnel acquire globally recognized logistics and transport qualifications.
The seminar, held on Wednesday at the College Auditorium, which is part of ongoing efforts to build professional capacity within the Service, brought together former students, current trainees, and serving personnel, particularly from the Supply and Engineering trades.
Air Commodore Ben Offei, Commander of Air Force Logistics Command, commended the sustained collaboration between CILT Ghana and the Ghana Air Force, noting that such partnerships are critical for maintaining a professional and forward-looking logistics system within the Service.
He encouraged personnel to embrace lifelong learning and take advantage of opportunities that enhance both individual and institutional readiness.
During the session, the CILT team delivered a detailed presentation highlighting the Institute’s role in advancing professional excellence in logistics and transport.
Discussions centered on various membership grades, professional progression routes, and the importance of certification in enhancing competence and career development in contemporary logistics and supply chain environments.
The seminar included an interactive question-and-answer session that allowed participants to seek clarification on membership processes, examinations, and continuing professional development requirements.
The successful seminar will further strengthen civil-military cooperation in capacity building and reaffirm the shared commitment of both institutions to advancing excellence in logistics education, practice, and leadership.
