• 1 MIN READ

President John Dramani Mahama has held talks in London with the United Kingdom’s Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, the Rt Hon Ed Miliband MP, to strengthen the longstanding partnership between Ghana and the UK.

The discussions focused on expanding bilateral trade and investment, promoting sustainable economic growth and deepening cooperation in areas of shared interest, building on ongoing efforts by both countries to create opportunities for businesses, attract private capital and support job creation.

The engagement also reflects Ghana’s commitment to forging strategic international partnerships that advance national development priorities and deliver lasting, shared prosperity.

Ghana and the UK are pursuing a Growth Partnership for 2026–2028, with priorities that include trade facilitation, infrastructure, industrial development and skills training.

President Mahama reaffirmed Ghana’s readiness to work with international partners to unlock investment opportunities, strengthen economic ties and advance shared priorities in an increasingly interconnected world.
