Ghana Police Service Reschedules TRAFFITECH-GH Rollout to November 1

• 1 MIN READ

The Ghana Police Service has rescheduled the full implementation of its automated traffic law enforcement programme, TRAFFITECH-GH, from October 1 to November 1, 2026.

According to a press release issued on Tuesday, the decision is to allow for further public education on the programme, including the traffic offences it will detect and the Electronic Notices of Violation (ENV) to be issued to offending motorists.

The programme, being implemented through the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD), forms part of efforts to address indiscipline on Ghana’s roads and improve compliance with traffic laws and regulations.

The Service urged motorists, drivers and vehicle owners to take advantage of the additional time to familiarise themselves with the programme before its full implementation.

It said the rescheduling is intended to support a smooth rollout by ensuring that road users are adequately informed about the system and its enforcement processes.

The Ghana Police Service appreciated the media for its continued support throughout the introduction of TRAFFITECH-GH.

The service reaffirmed its commitment to working with other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of the programme
