President Mahama Donates Two Ambulances to Police Hospital

• 2 MIN READ

President John Dramani Mahama has donated two ambulances to the Police Hospital to strengthen emergency response and improve the transportation of patients requiring urgent medical attention.

The President announced the donation at the commissioning of an 85-bed block at the hospital, explaining that the vehicles would support the treatment of injured police officers and other patients.

“For an injured officer at a crime scene or a patient requiring urgent transfer, care must begin before arrival at the hospital,” he said.
President Mahama noted that the ambulances would help transport patients safely and support timely referrals and treatment.

He stressed that their effective use would require trained personnel, appropriate life-support equipment and regular maintenance to ensure they remained available when emergencies occurred.

The President said the donation complemented the expansion of the Police Hospital’s facilities and government’s broader efforts to improve healthcare for police officers and the general public.

He also urged the hospital’s management and staff to ensure that the new infrastructure and equipment were properly maintained to deliver reliable medical services.

President Mahama congratulated the Ghana Police Service and all those who contributed to the construction of the new 85-bed block, expressing the hope that the investment would provide quality care for years to come.
