Ghana’s FDI Inflows Rise to US$2.62 Billion in 2025 – Ofosu-Adjare

• 2 MIN READ

The Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Mrs Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, has announced that Ghana’s Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflows increased from US$652 million in 2024 to US$2.62 billion in 2025, citing the growth as an indication of rising investor confidence in the country.

She said the increase reflected growing interest in Ghana as an investment destination, particularly in the manufacturing sector, which recorded the highest number of new investment projects in 2025.

The Minister made this known at the commissioning of Nestlé Ghana Limited’s expanded evaporated milk production line at the company’s factory in Tema on Thursday.

According to her, the manufacturing sector attracted 99 new investment projects in 2025, surpassing mining, oil and gas, and general trade.

She said the development demonstrated that investors were responding positively to President John Dramani Mahama’s call to position Ghana as an open and attractive destination for business and investment.

The Minister noted that the growing investment figures underscored the importance of creating an enabling business environment to attract more investors, expand industrial production and strengthen the country’s manufacturing base.

She also highlighted the significance of investments in the manufacturing sector to Ghana’s economic development, particularly in expanding production capacity and supporting industrial growth.

The commissioning of Nestlé Ghana Limited’s expanded evaporated milk production line represents an addition to the company’s production capacity in the country and comes at a time when manufacturing is recording a significant share of new investment projects.
