GPHA Director General Reiterates Keta Port Completion by January 2027

The Director General of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA), Major General Paul Seidu Tanye-Kulono, has reiterated that the Port of Keta Administration Block project will be completed and operational by January 2027.

Leading an inspection tour with the Member of Parliament for Keta Constituency, Mr Kwame Gakpey, and the Dufia of Kedzi, Togbi Acolatse V, he noted that the Port of Keta will catalyse economic transformation in the Volta Region, creating jobs, stimulating business growth, and improving livelihoods.

He expressed satisfaction with the quality and pace of work.

Mr Gakpey described the project as a milestone for the people of Keta and the Volta Region, hence urged the youth, in particular, to acquire relevant skills and training to take advantage of the opportunities the port will create once it is operational.

Contractors of PSB Realty Company Limited confirmed that the project is currently over 70% complete, with structural works on the main administration building fully finished.
