The Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) and the Indian High Commission in Ghana have agreed to strengthen collaboration in the maritime and port sectors.

This follows a courtesy call on Monday by India’s High Commissioner to Ghana, H.E. Ambassador Surinder Bhagat, who met with GPHA’s Director-General, Major General Paul Seidu Tanye-Kulono.

Ambassador Bhagat, accompanied by Second Secretary (Consular Wing), Mr Yogendra Pal, discussed areas of mutual interest with the GPHA leadership.

During the meeting, both parties explored opportunities for collaboration, particularly in the areas of capacity building, professional exchanges and training programmes.

Discussions focused on strengthening partnerships and promoting knowledge-sharing initiatives that will enhance skills development and contribute to the growth and efficiency of port operations.
