MCE Leads Stakeholder Talks on Major Road Projects in Prestea-Huni Valley

• 2 MIN READ

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Prestea-Huni Valley Municipality, Mr Matthew Ayeh, has initiated discussions with mining companies and road contractors to improve major roads across the municipality.

The engagement focused on addressing persistent road challenges, reducing congestion and improving the safety and movement of residents, motorists and commercial operators.

The proposed Bogoso inner-city roads and bypass received particular attention during the discussions. The projects are expected to ease congestion in the town, reduce pressure on existing routes and provide motorists with safer and more efficient alternatives.

Following the engagement, a committee has been established to undertake the necessary groundwork and coordinate preparations for the next phase of the proposed Bogoso road projects.

The discussions also covered the Broni Nkwanta–Afokey and Prestea–Bondaye roads, both of which serve as important links between communities and support the movement of people, goods and services.

Improving these routes is expected to enhance accessibility, promote safer travel, and support economic activity across the municipality.

The engagement is part of the Assembly’s broader efforts to work with mining companies and other stakeholders to address the municipality’s infrastructure needs.

Mr Matthew Ayeh, the Municipal Chief Executive of Prestea-Huni Valley Municipal, emphasised the importance of collaboration in developing practical and sustainable solutions to the area’s road challenges.

The Municipal Assembly remains committed to advancing partnerships that will improve road connectivity, reduce travel difficulties and contribute to the development of communities across Prestea-Huni Valley.
