Completion of Navrongo–Chuchuliga Road Restores Connectivity and Eases Transport – Upper East Regional Minister
The completion of the Navrongo–Chuchuliga Road has restored access between communities in the Upper East Region, bringing relief to residents and improving the movement of people and goods.
The Upper East Regional Minister, Mr Akamugri Donatus Atanga, said the road’s completion marks a significant improvement from the situation he encountered when he assumed office in 2025.
Mr Atanga recalled that residents from the Builsa area and neighbouring communities faced daily challenges travelling between Builsa and Navrongo due to the poor state of the road.
He explained that the situation compelled him to engage the contractors and urge them to expedite work on the project to restore access for commuters and motorists.
Mr Atanga expressed satisfaction that the project has now been completed, enabling vehicles to move freely along the route and improving connectivity between Navrongo, Chuchuliga and surrounding communities.
He said the improved road infrastructure would facilitate trade, enhance access to essential services and reduce travel difficulties for residents.
The Regional Minister described the project’s completion as evidence of the government’s commitment to expanding road infrastructure to support socio-economic development and improve the quality of life of citizens across the Upper East Region.
