• 1 MIN READ

Ghana recorded GH¢209.7 million in losses linked to reported cybersecurity incidents between January and September 2026, according to the Cyber Security Authority (CSA).

The figure was emphasised during stakeholder engagements organised by the CSA at the Central Regional Coordinating Council and the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly as part of activities marking National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM) 2026.

The engagements focused on raising awareness of growing cyber threats and promoting online safety among participants.

Participants were taken through various cyber hygiene practices, including the use of two-factor authentication, strong passwords and how to identify phishing links.

The sessions also covered Child Online Protection, with emphasis placed on the role of parents in ensuring that children navigate cyberspace safely.
