Cyber Security Authority and Ghana Statistical Service to sign MoU on Child Online Protection Data

The Cyber Security Authority (CSA) and the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) are set to formalise a partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening evidence-based decision-making in cybersecurity, with a particular focus on Child Online Protection (COP).

The agreement follows a courtesy visit by a CSA delegation led by the Acting Deputy Director-General for Regulatory Operations, Dr Jamal Seidu Tonzua, to the GSS headquarters, where they were received by the Government Statistician, Dr Alhassan Iddrisu, and his team.

During discussions, both institutions underscored the importance of reliable data in shaping effective cybersecurity policies.

They explored avenues for research collaboration, including integrating COP indicators into national surveys and conducting a dedicated national child online safety survey.
